KEF introduces LSX II LT

KEF has launched its LSX II LT, a streamlined version of the company’s LSX II wireless speaker, which offers the same key technological innovations at a lower price point. Part of the LS wireless plug-and-play speaker systems, the W2 Wireless platform the LSX II LT uses allows listeners to stream from major music services including Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music and Amazon Music. The inclusion of the KEF Connect app and Bluetooth expand the choices even further.

With extensive connectivity options including HDMI ARC, USB-C and optical inputs, customers can plug into a TV, desktop, laptop or console, while bass can be dialled up via a dedicated output to connect a compact KEF subwoofer. The company says: “Users can seamlessly integrate LSX II LT into their smart home to browse and play music, select sources or use controls such as play, pause and adjust the volume via their smart home app or control interface”.

The Class D LSX II LT only requires a single power connection, as the primary speaker powers the secondary one via the interspeaker cable. It uses KEF’s 11th generation Uni-Q driver array, which incorporates a 19mm aluminium dome tweeter and 115mm magnesium/aluminium alloy cone mid/bass driver. The company explains: “the Uni-Q driver array disperses sound evenly and ensures everyone hears the same detailed tune from any position. The Music Integrity Engine ensures a perfectly timed performance with clear, accurate and balanced sound, seamlessly optimised with the Uni-Q driver array for complete clarity.”

The LSX II LT comes in Graphite Grey, Stone White and Sage Green with mounting inserts for secure placement on the P1 desk pad and S1 floor stand, allowing for easy integration into all living spaces. Additionally, the speaker is compatible with the specially designed C-Link interspeaker cable, made with high-tenacity fabric for enhanced durability and protection. With a length of 8m, the C-Link cable offers 5m more flexibility than the supplied cable, granting greater freedom in positioning the speakers according to personal preference.

The KEF Connect app and EQ DSP (Digital Signal Processing) can be used to adjust the sound to allow the LSX II LT to best suit the room, users are walked through setup and system controls after downloading the app.

The KEF LSX II LT costs £900 per pair and the longer 8m C-Link Interspeaker Cable £50.
