Sony parties on with SRS-XV800 portable speaker

Sony has unveiled its new SRS-XV800 omnia-directional speaker, featuring five tweeters in dual X-Balanced speaker units with what it describes as: “almost rectangular diaphragms that not only maximise the area of the speaker diaphragm, but also increase sound pressure for deeper and punchier bass, less distortion and greater vocal clarity for a richer, clearer and more rewarding listening experience”.

The built-in battery claims up to 25 hours of listening time with three more hours from 10 minutes of charging. The design features built-in wheels and a handle while indirect illumination produces ambient light, which automatically syncs to the beat and rhythm of the music.

It also includes Sony’s TV Sound Booster, a karaoke and guitar input, illuminated touch panel, is water resistant IPX4 rated and works with Bluetooth Fast Pair for Android.

Compatible with Sony/Music Center apps, the SRS-XV800 allows the user to select playlists, change lighting patterns and sound modes while the Fiestable app is available to accommodate making playlists and karaoke functions such as Voice Changer and Echo, plus DJ control to add sound effects.

Available to buy now for £600, you can find out more about the Sony SRS-XV800 here.
